Experience
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in public education teaching Spanish to middle and high school students in Arizona and Colorado. I now provide therapy to children, teens, adults, couples and families in English and Spanish. As a counselor, I draw on my professional and personal experiences. As a result of working through my own hardships, I adopted the motto, that "Life is like riding a bicycle, sometimes the harder the climb, the better the descent," because I have reaped the rewards of healing and growth. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including a church-based counseling program, The Salvation Army, Aurora Mental Health Center and currently serving children and families through Jewish Family Service. My wife and I started our private practice in 2015 and are honored to help others in this capacity.
The cross has a double meaning for my life. I am a Christian who operates my own life from this belief and value system; and most importantly, desires to emphasize love and grace. As a professionally trained counselor, I do not impose my beliefs and value system on my clients. I respect and honor each of my client's distinct backgrounds and beliefs that make them who they are. We are all on a unique journey, and I look forward to joining you in yours.
